The winery Marchesi Ginori Lisci
Enotourism and wine tastings in Tuscany on the trail of the Montescudaio DOC

The Ginori Lisci family began developing their winery in 1999. After careful assessment of the soil and the climate, seventeen hectares of specialized vineyards were planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Viognier and Vermentino vines.

Registered with the Montescudaio DOC, these vineyards are located on the lower portions of the hill, on three entirely homogeneous plots. The vineyards have been deisgned to ensure that all managment activities, in tune with the natural growth of the plants, can be performed so as to guarantee the production of high quality wines.

A must for those who arrive in Querceto is the winery tour and wine tasting session of the Marchesi Ginori Lisci organic wines (Montescudaio DOC) and of the extra virgin olive oil in the wonderful wine shop “Dispensa del Castello”.

Visitors will be conducted in a short and pleasant walk along the hamlet discovering the history of the castle and visiting the places where the wine production takes place.

In 2003 a new cellar was created in the restored and refurbished buildings located in the ancient “borgo” of Querceto. The barrique cellar is unique and was derived from the hamlet’s old theatre.
