“Over the course of my life beginning in my early childhood, I have always seen Castello Ginori di Querceto as the place where I have spent many important moments characterized by the warmth and friendliness of the people and the contact with the surrounding nature. As years go by, I have come to feel a great sense of responsibility in my being confronted with something fundamental which has been handed down and entrusted to me by my family.
Thanks to the help of my wife, my nephews and assistants, I have been able to contribute to the changes which have occurred during the last decades in this ancient village. We have begun with the restoration of the roofs and the apartments, which nowadays host new inhabitants and tourists.
Today our main goal is to make both the village and the farm totally ecological compatible. The estate in fact produces its own electrical energy with the help of a bio-gas plant which utilizes the fermentation of products and subproducts of the farm as its source of energy; moreover the 80% of Querceto houses are heated with wood which is picked up in our estate”.
