Querceto is also a huge farming business with 2000 hectares of land, 700 of which are cultivated with cereal crops and vineyards, while the rest is forested. Moreover nowadays it’s also one of the first Italian farms to have its own biogas plant that exploits the fermentation process of the estate’s products and by-products, in both the wine and olive oil sectors. The biogas is transformed into renewable energy, partly used by the winery and the village and for the most part contributed to the national electric grid. VISIT OF THE CELLAR
If you come to Querceto you can’t miss the visit of our cellar and the tasting of our wines “Marchesi Ginori Lisci”. The visit is conducted by one of the members of our company and includes: visit to the village; visit to the vinification cellar; visit to the antique ageing cellars. The tour is followed by the tasting of our 4 wines and our extravergin olive oil in the wonderful shop “Dispensa del Castello”.
